INSIDE A BUYER’S NOTEBOOK

Ever wanted to know what’s in a buyer’s notebook? Check out the picture above of ours, it’s pretty much jammed packed full of the best fashion insider knowledge, with sketches and notes from shows, invitations and appointments. I will be taking a look at the buyer’s notebook from time to time with all the latest, so watch this space.
What struck me today when flicking through our golden notebook was Halston got a lot of attention (yes, it is back again [and in stores for S/S] with new designer Marco Zanini!) With sketches of draped fluid column dresses and elaborate notes from the Matches buying appointment, it was without a doubt a favourite. But what is it about Halston that appeals? I think it’s because the timing so right for it, there is a longing for the eternal elegance that Halston offers, it’s not a fad, it’s not a flash in the pan but simple and striking feminine glamour!
PS: Spring brings those draped Grecian all-in-ones in soft pinks and taupes layered with gorgeous gold bangles and little clutches (tres Bianca Jagger) cant wait!
