Works of Art: some of the standout dresses coming to Matches for AW11

Last week, London’s most prolific fashion editors, designers and style mavens headed to Matches Marylebone for our famous press day.  Afternoon tea was served as designers including Roksanda Ilincic, Saloni, Joomi Lim, Clive Derby of Rake, Adrien Sauvage and E Tautz’s Patrick Grant, talked through their respective AW11 lines. The store dazzled with new season collections; highlights include: Olympia Le Tan’s witty embroidered clutches, Gianvito Rossi’s divine stilettos, Loewe’s new bags, and the artistic genius (quite literally, these dresses looked like works of art) of Holly Fulton, Erdem, Mary Katrantzou, Suno and Jonathan Saunders.  Meanwhile, the new Rake pieces were being swooned over, and the award winning and ever charming Patrick Grant whetted our appetites for E Tautz’s elegant forthcoming collection.
