The first day of Men’s Tailoring Week was rounded off rather nicely with specially prepared Lanvin ‘Bow-tie Extraordiare’ cocktails from the pop up bar, courtesy of new private members club Dorsia – that’s two shots of Absolute Vodka, peach, jasmine, blackberry and fresh lemon juice served over handfulls of crushed - complete with a natty bow-tie finishing touch. Delicious.

In fact the whole night was what you could call ‘bow-tie-tastic’.

The second day of Men’s Tailoring Week belongs to E.Tautz. We asked British Menswear Designer of the Year, Patrick Grant, the label’s Creative Director, to tell us a little about what makes him tick.

*What is your first memory of wearing a suit? My grandmother got me a little blue suit to wear at the wedding of a friend of my parents. My mum hated it and was delighted when a bridesmaid pushed me in the pond and I had to change. I don’t remember that myself. My first memory was pretty dull. I had to wear a suit to chapel at school on a Sunday. It was a 2 show 3 double breasted in charcoal herringbone with a blue over-stripe.
